Purpose Statement
The Chamber’s purpose is to educate, support and promote businesses in Sumter County.

• Advertising discounts for all members in the Daily Commercial, Sumter Express, Sumter Shopper and Sumter County Times
• A 10% discount on auto insurance and personal umbrella coverage as a part of a group discount in partnership with Auto Owners and Frank Slaughter Insurance
• A 5% discount on web design through NetSource Technologies, Inc.
• A 15% discount on rooms at the Waterfront Inn (some restrictions may apply)
• New members can enjoy a free case of paper from Ernie Morris with their first fifty dollar order

We refer to chamber members only and offer a one-stop location for the Sumter County Community and visitors alike to receive business information, tourism information and relocation packets.

Benefits for Larger Businesses

The Chamber provides equal value for larger businesses by keeping them informed of issues within the community, providing opportunities to network and working on quality of life issues that strengthen the community as a whole. Weve recently added Federation Partnership with the US Chamber to our menu of benefits. This allows our business members to enjoy membership in the US Chamber, giving them access to information on important business issues being addressed at a Federal level.

Chamber membership can also mean instant credibility for a business, increasing chances of success during difficult economic times. According to a recent independent study conducted by the Shapiro Group in Atlanta, 63% of consumers are more likely to buy from Chamber Members.
